About NexuSelf

NexuSelf didn't start in a boardroom. It started from a frustrating observation we couldn't unsee: women were trying to optimize their health using systems that were literally never designed for them.

Everywhere we looked-talking to coworkers, friends at the gym, reading late-night Reddit threads-the pattern was exactly the same. Women were tired of wellness apps that treated them like smaller versions of men. The apps tracked calories and steps, but completely ignored the reality of female biology. They ignored hormonal shifts, energy crashes, cycle phases, mood changes, and the emotional side of health.

"These apps don’t understand my body."

That gap became impossible for us to ignore.

Most fitness platforms are completely static. Your body changes, but the app's advice doesn’t. You could be exhausted, emotionally overwhelmed, or in your luteal phase, and the app still just tells you to close your rings. We realized that instead of forcing women to adapt to rigid systems, the system needed to adapt to the woman.

That belief became NexuSelf.

We're still early, but the momentum is real. Right now, we have around 500 users from 10 different countries-mostly waking up and logging in from the US and India. The response to our AI coach, Raha, has honestly blown us away. Seeing real people actually talk to her, open up about their cycles, and finally feel understood by a health platform... that's when we knew we had built something that actually matters.

The Founders

Shafquat Aman

Shafquat Aman

Founder & CEO

I’m not from a traditional tech background. I didn’t study computer science. I wasn’t a Silicon Valley engineer. I learned by building, breaking things, researching obsessively, and figuring things out from scratch.

Before NexuSelf, I worked a regular office job. But deep down, I knew I wanted to build something meaningful - something that solved a real problem instead of just chasing trends. In February 2025, I left my job to go all in on NexuSelf. At the time, there was no certainty, no funding pipeline, no safety net. Just conviction.

What pushed me forward was seeing how deeply underserved women’s health still was despite billions being spent on wellness globally. Most products focused on tracking data, but very few actually tried to understand the person behind the data. I became obsessed with building a system that could adapt intelligently to women’s changing physiology and emotional state in real time. In August 2025, that vision received validation when I was awarded the Emergent Ventures Grant from the Mercatus Center - a grant that supports ambitious, high-impact ideas and builders working on unconventional problems. For me, it wasn’t just funding. It was proof that the mission mattered.

Co-Founder & CMO

Alhaan joined NexuSelf because he saw the same problem from a completely different angle: communication, psychology, and how modern wellness brands fail to create genuine trust with women. While many startups focus only on features, we believed the emotional experience mattered just as much as the technology.

Alhaan eventually made the difficult decision to leave college and commit himself fully to building NexuSelf. That decision came from belief - belief that women deserved something far more personal, adaptive, and emotionally intelligent than what existed in the market.

Together, we combined two very different strengths: relentless product obsession, and deep focus on human connection.

What We're Building

An Adaptive Wellness OS

NexuSelf is not just another calorie tracker or fitness app.

We are building an adaptive wellness operating system for women - one that understands that the body is dynamic, not static.

Our goal is to create a system that evolves with:

  • cycle phases
  • energy levels
  • recovery
  • sleep
  • hydration
  • symptoms
  • stress
  • mood
  • nutrition
  • and behavioral patterns

Instead of forcing women into rigid plans, NexuSelf adapts recommendations around how they actually feel.

Because women should not have to explain their bodies to technology anymore.
Technology should finally understand them.
